speech act theory

speech act theory  attempts to explain how speakers use language to accomplish intended actions and how hearers infer intended meaning form what is said. according to speech act theory by austin and searle, there are involves 3 types which are a locutionary act ( propositional meaning), an illocutionary act (the force associated with the use of the utterance in a specific context) and the last one is a perlocutionary act (the effects on the recipient of the performed speech act). (my essay for the presentation..pray for me)
